What is Haal Centraal?
Haal Centraal develops APIs (application programming interfaces) that let your municipality query base data directly from the national registries. This fits the information strategy Common Ground and the GEMMA Data Landscape. Haal Centraal is an initiative of the G5 municipalities (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, and Eindhoven) and a collaboration between municipalities and VNG, VNG Realisatie, Kadaster, RvIG, and BZK. You can read more about Haal Centraal on the VNG Realisatie website.
Your municipality can start connecting to the APIs right away
- All municipalities can connect to the Haal Centraal APIs. See which APIs are available.
- The APIs comply with legislation and regulations. However, every municipality must ensure that provision to consumers takes place in accordance with legislation and regulations.
- There are agreements on availability and performance. Together with municipalities and the national registries, the program has delivered and adopted service level agreements. Availability and performance are good, and reports on them are available.
- As of 1 October 2022, the specifications of the available Haal Centraal APIs have been standardized (comply or explain).
